Pros and cons of Anchor! drag alarm app for iPhone and iPad

Anchor! drag alarm app good for

My wife and I anchor out probably 60 nights per year. We needed an app that we could rely on as well as one that is easy to use. I have tried several other apps and none are close to as good as this one. When I sense a wind shift I love looking at the color coded lines that clearly show periods of time based on color. The new boat shift will be a new color and you can quickly tell if the boat is lying in the correct area. I also like the remote features so that when we go to shore we have a warning system. I have never written and app review but felt this app was superior and deserved a review.
I used this app for the first time this past weekend and it saved my boat! Kudos!
Wrote a nice review but lost it because name was taken. Dont know who to blame, probably Apple.
Easy to use and works every time for me. Some experimental features ( will call you! To say your boat has shifted ) cant be beat.
We sail and anchor 6 months every winter in Caribbean. This app works off line and the easy ability to move the anchor icon after we have set the hook is tremendous.
This app is pretty good. It marks your anchor position on a map and tracks your current position It allows you to move the anchor and reset the alarm radius. It can alert you by calling or emailing. It has an interesting feature where you can monitor another phone running the app through find my iPhone. The app quit in the the background once which is worrying. The bad news is the design is poor. It has an amateurish look to it. The process for inputting things like email address is cumbersome. Why not use the address book? Its the best anchor app I have tried.

Some bad moments

Directions to fix this are for an older version. I can hear sample alarms but nearly inaudible when a actual alarm is USELESS. NO SETTINGS on my iPad were muted. Made for a sleepless night at anchor.
This app works as it should. It is the only anchor app that really works well. Ive tried three other that didnt even come close.r
I just got and went through the operations. While I have not used it on my boat yet, I walked through its features. Very nice and easy to use. I really like the move anchor position feature.
This app keeps getting better. Its accurate and easy to manage. I highly recommend it. Fadwa
Seems to work well, and is easy to us and learn. I like the actual satellite maps it uses for location. Also I like you can use the built-in compass to orient the display. Just be sure to calibrate your iPhone compass before using. I tried it while it was in the background and when the phone was "locked" but still on. The audible alarm went off as it was supposed to. I really like the app. Just make sure your phone is plugged in as the GPS location chip uses a lot of phone power.
Great little app. Seems to work extremely well. I highly recommend it.
